Lemmah Dell Murphy Alexander, 87, of Salem, Ore., passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, in Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas.
Lemmah Dell was born in Holland, Texas. On March 21, 1941, she married Lawrence Edward Alexander, Jr. in Texas. She was a military wife and homemaker. Lemmah was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was also involved with Sojourners and the Bush House Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; and a granddaugher, Leslie Alexander, of Waco, Texas.
Survivors include sons, Lawrence E. Alexander, III and wife, Margaret, of Bronxville, NY, and J. Michael Alexander and wife, Anna, of Salem, OR; and granddaughters, Dina Alexander Taylor and husband, Jim, and Jennifer Alexander, all of Portland, Ore.
