Jeff Aldridge, age 42, of West Frankfort, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born July 11, 1968 in West Frankfort to Bennie and Cheryl ( Moore ) Aldridge. He is survived by his mother Cheryl Aldridge of West Frankfort, his father Bennie and wife Brenda Aldridge of West Frankfort, by a brother, Jason Aldridge of West Frankfort and by his sister Michele Alexander of Benton, Arkansas. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother Marcella Burton of West Frankfort and by nephews Sean and Seth and by a niece Rachel. Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Benjamin and Edith Aldridge, by his maternal grandfather Wavell Burton and by his great grandmother Maggie Karroll as well as his aunt Sue Lucas and cousins, Jim Melvin and Todd Lucas. Jeff worked as a correctional officer for the Shawnee Correctional Center in Vienna. He was a member of the AFSCME Local 3605 and also a member of the Boneyard Bocci Ball Club in Benton. He had served in the National Guard out of the West Frankfort Unit.
