Margaret K. Slaybaugh, 90, of Lebanon, formerly of Lafayette, died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, in Lebanon.

She was born Dec. 10, 1920 in Campbell, Minnesota to Joseph and Hallie Fern Aldrich. On Dec. 13, 1952, she married John E. Slaybaugh. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1976.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Kay (partner: Andrea Beckett) of Lebanon; a sister, Mary Lou Anderle of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; a brother, Stanley J. Aldrich of Austin, Minnesota and one granddaughter, Michelle Hope Stovall-Slaybaugh, of Los Angeles, California.

She was in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps during World War II. She cared for troops in the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 and served through 1953, during the Korean War, when she attained the rank of captain.
