MRS. GEO. ALDRICH PASSES AWAY SUDDENLY
Death Removes a Very Estimable Woman After a Brief Illness of One Week--Mourned by a Large Circle of Loving Friends
The death of Mrs. Ellen Carrier Aldrich, wife of George Aldrich, occurred at her home in North Rose, last Saturday night, after a brief illness of a week during which medical skill had done every thing possible to give her relief and restore her health. She was 59 years old and had for many years been a patient sufferer in rather feeble health.
Her death is mourned by a devoted husband, a son, Clarence, an aged mother, Mrs. L. J. Carrier, of Wolcott, who has passed her 90th birthday, and a sister, Mrs. Burton Partridge, of Wolcott.
Funeral services were held from her late home, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. C. J. Beach of Weedsport, officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in the Lovejoy Cemetery.
While for many years Mrs. Aldrich had been an invalid, she possessed the love and esteem of a large circle of friends who will miss the pleasant words she always had for each. She was an especial favorite with the children by whom she was dearly beloved. She was a deeply religious woman and before she became an invalid, was an enthusiastic Sunday-school worker and a well-beloved teacher.
