Born Feb. 9, 1931, in Greenwich, he was the son of the late Vernon and Viola (Allen) Aldous.
Mr. Aldous served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War; he was stationed on the USS Wisconsin honorably discharged in 1954.
He moved from Greenwich to Saratoga in 1957 and moved to this area in 1967.
Mr. Aldous was a chief gas mechanic for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., starting with the company in 1956 and retiring in 1990 after more than 34 years of service.
Besides his parents, Charles was predeceased by his brother, Clarence "Duke" Aldous.
Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
