Former Williams and Grants Pass resident Gladys Hope Alden, 92, of Cottonwood, Ariz., died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Alden was born May 12, 1910, in Artesia, N.M., where she was raised.
She married Durwood E. Alden, who died before her. In 1942, they moved to Williams, where they worked on their farm in Williams.
Due to her husband's career as a logger, they lived in various locations throughout Southern Oregon, including Ashland. After the death of her husband, she moved to Grants Pass. In 1999, she moved to Florida to be near her son, and in 2002 they moved to Arizona.
Survivors include two sons, Gary L. Alden of Sedona, Ariz., and John E. Alden of Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, Nancy Ligon of Sand Springs, Okla., and Chris Neisser of Essex, Md.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Shirley, and a son, John "Jack" Alden, died before her.
