PANA — Ruby Alde, 101, of Pana died 2 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 27, 2005) in Heritage Manor, Pana.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, with the Rev. Marilyn Rauch officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Memorials: St. John's United Church of Christ, Pana, or Pana Community Hospital Foundation.

Mrs. Alde was born April 6, 1903, in Jacksonport, Ark., the daughter of Olanso and Alice Smart Rutherford. She lived in Wyoming most of her life. Alfred, Ruby and Peggy left Wyoming on July 4, 1944, in a snow storm and moved to Pana. They found work and moved to Decatur, where Ruby worked in Semmel's Clothing Store as a seamstress. She and her husband came back to Pana when they retired in 1966. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and the Women's Guild. She married Alfred F. Alde on Oct. 1, 1925, in Superior, Wyo. He preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1981.

Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Goatley and husband Wilbur of Pana; grandchildren, Gail Morell and husband Steve, David Goatley and wife Niki, Gary Goatley and wife Lisa and Keith Goatley and fiancee Aimee, all of Pana; great-grandchildren, Matt, Laura, Mandy, David, Ben, Maribeth, Morgan, Melissa, Chelsea, Logan, Tysen and Cameron; great-great-grandchildren, Bostyn, Brooklyn, Kerstyn, Aaron and Adrienne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and three brothers.
