His middle name might be Godfrey, but I haven't been able to verify that yet.

May 31, 1922

Edward G. Alcott, formerly of 4004 Fourth Avenue, Roselawn, died yesterday morning at 4 o'clock at the Pittsburgh hospital, following a stroke of Paralysis.

He was born Aug 1, 1850, in England and came to Altoona when a young man, entering the Pennsy service May 16, 1872. He learned the trade of moulder at the Sixteenth street foundries and spent forty four years with the company, retiring at the age of 66 years on May 1, 1916 due to ill health, which followed an accident in the shops.

He is survived by three sons, William of Pittsburgh, Edward V. of this city, Jesse P. of Portland, Ore., and one brother George of Oklahoma City.

The remains were brought to Altoona at 11:15 o'clock this morning and removed to the N.A. Stevens mortuary. The funeral will be held from the Stevens mortuary at 2:30 o'clcok Thursday afternoon with interment in Greenwood cemetery.
