Elvira E. Alcorta, age 91, of Poteet, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008, in Jourdanton, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Ramiro Alcorta, Sr. of Poteet; daughters, Ophelia Gonzales and husband Antonio of Pleasanton, Evangeline Chapa and husband Lee of Irving and son, Ramiro Alcorta, Jr. and wife Mary of San Antonio. She is also survived by her brothers, Catarino Estrada and Eloy Estrada both of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Elena Alcorta.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton from 2:00PM to 9:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM on Monday, December 29, 2008. A funeral service will be held at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Poteet at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Interment will be at Madre Dolorosa Cemetery in Potee
