He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Mattie Pearl Carson-Alcorn, six devoted children, Raymond W. Alcorn, (Annie) Warrensville Heights, OH, Carl J. Alcorn, (Ruth) Grove City, OH, Melvin C. Alcorn, (Margaret) Danville, KY, H. Kenneth Alcorn, (Brenda) Dayton, OH, Charles E. (Naomi) and Helen D. Alcorn, Danville, KY; one brother, Howard C. Alcorn, Cleveland, OH, three sisters-in-law, twenty-six grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; five daughters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was amiably dubbed "Preach" by his friends being well known and respected throughout the community.
