Thurman "Lamoine" Alcorn, 84, of Tilton, passed away at 4:38 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville.
He was born Feb. 17, 1925 in Danville to Jonah and Minnie Beatrice (Alcorn) Alcorn. He married Cora Brown in June 1946 in Tilton. She preceded him in death in 1983. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Elmer Alcorn and daughter-in-law, Brenda Jean Alcorn.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Alcorn; sister, Ardith Cheuvront; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
