Charles Frederick Albrook, age 91 died in his home in Rancho Santa Fe, San Diego County, California March 31, 1999. A native of Delhi, Delaware County, Iowa he came to San Diego in 1929 to join the Marines. He remained in California the rest of his life. Mr. Albrook was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Mr. Albrook was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Florence Jean Albrook and a daughter Laura Ann. He is survived by his second wife, Olga Spence Albrook of Santa Rosa; two daughters, Charlene Connolly and husband of Rancho Santa Fe and another daughter and husband of South San Francisco; a son-in-law, one sister, Alice Shepard of Sidney, Nebraska; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held by his family and burial will be private. Encinitas Mortuary 760-753-1143.

According to the records of Santa Rosa Memorial Park, one half of Charles' ashes were sent to each of the two cemeteries to be buried with each of his wives. The United States Government bronze marker is on the Santa Rosa burial while the other half of his remains and his first wife are in the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
