My Great-Great-Great-GrandUncle

Married to Isabella K. Bourdette. Son of Jacob and Mary M. Alsbaugh.

He served in Company I, 2nd Iowa Volunteer Cavalry as a harnessmaker and saddler from October 29, 1861 to October 3, 1864.

When his health failed, his 20 year old nephew, J. Burleigh Albrook, took his place as saddler with the 2nd Iowa Cavalry. For years after the Civil War Ezra drifted from state to state seeking peace, finally settling in Kansas. He was so debilitated from his Civil War service he was unable to follow his chosen profession as a harnessmaker and saddler.
