|Birth: ||Sep. 22, 1857|
|Death: ||Oct. 16, 1938|
Mrs. Mary Ann Albright, widow of Jacob A. R. Albright, and mother of Mrs. Monroe Hetrick, was born near Brodbeck's, Pa., September 22, 1857, and died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Hetrick, October 16, 1938, aged 81 years, and 24 days.
Mrs. Albright is a direct descendant of one of the earliest settlers in this section of York County, Nicolaus Bricker, who was a resident of Codorus Township before 1764.
Mrs. Albright had been baptized by Rev. Julius J. C. Kurtz, November 29, 1857. She became a member of St. Jacob's (Stone) Reformed Church by confirmation, April 17, 1875, when Rev. Jacob D. Zehring was pastor. She had an uninterrupted membership at the Stone Church for almost 64 years. She was a faithful attendant at the services of the church as long as her health permitted. The last year of her life she suffered much but bore her infirmities faithfully and patiently until her home-going.
The funeral services were held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hetrick on Thursday morning, October 20, 1938, with brief services at the house and the main services at the Stone Church where the pastor preached an appropriate sermon on the text John 14:1, 2, which she had selected herself. Burial was made in the new cemetery.
