Beatrice "Bumble Bea" Elfrieda Albertson was born on January 6, 1914, to Ole and Anna Johanna (Thynes) Monson in Storden Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. She received her education in District 41 of country school in rural Cottonwood County.
On November 24, 1937, she was united in marriage to Aubrey Ronning at the Old Westbrook Lutheran Church in rural Westbrook, Minnesota. They resided in Hendricks and Minneapolis, Minnesota. To this union were born two children Shirley (Ronning) Kieser and Jim Ronning. Aubrey passed away on November 18, 1953.
On October 14, 1957, Beatrice married Russell Albertson at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. This union expanded the family to include four step-children, Arlin, Richard Albertson, Karen (Albertson) Wahlin, and Dean Albertson.
Beatrice was a gentle woman with a kind word for everyone. She was a hard worker who knew how to make something out of nothing. She endured the hardship of being a single mother at an early age and provided for her children by cleaning houses. In later years, she worked for Sears and was a custodian at Bethany Lutheran Church for twelve years.
Beatrice was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden. She had many enjoyments in life which included reading the Bible, coloring, clipping coupons, washing dishes and folding clothes, drinking coffee with the neighbors, eating Hershey kisses, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Beatrice "Bumble Bea" Albertson, 95, of Eden Prairie, formerly of Storden, died Sunday, June 6, 2009, at Castle Ridge Care Center, Eden Prairie.
Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Aubrey Ronning; four sisters, Minnie and Hazel Monson, Helen Pufahl, and Cora Paulson; one brother, Oliver Monson; and one step-daughter, Karen Wahlin.
