Carrie, my great grandmother, was the daughter of William J. & Virgina Collins Garten.

Carrie married James William Albert on November 1, 1898 in Giles County, Virginia. They had the following thirteen children;

Merriman Joyce Albert

Carrie's husband, James, was a retired farmer and former manager of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute Farm. James's biography can be found in History of Virginia, Volume VI, page 326 & 327.
