RALEIGH, NC - Clarence S. Albea Jr. of Raleigh passed away Friday, May 28th, 2010.
Born in Harmony, NC he was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.
Clarence graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1947. He then pursued a career as a Certified Public Accountant.
Prior to his retirement, Clarence was Secretary/Treasurer of A. E. Finley & Associates in Raleigh for more than 30 years.
He was a member of White Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jenny Albea.
He is survived by his brother Preston Albea of Fort Lauderdale, FL and six children; Sam Albea (Sharon) of Fuquay, Cathey Griffin (Larry) of Raleigh, Ann Luddy of South Hill, VA, Pat Tellier (Mark) of Raleigh, Molly King (Reggie) of Wake Forest, and Sandy Albea of Raleigh.
Also surviving are twelve grandchildren; Tyler Albea, Brandon Albea, Mike Luddy Jr. (Sarah), Laurie Braslins and (Janis), Julie Griffin, Mary Griffin, Jennifer Griffin, Emilie Clark, Daniel Clark, Abbey King, Josh King and Aaron Lumsden and one great-grandchild Annalise Luddy.
Funeral services were held 11:00 am Tuesday, June 1st 2010 at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608. Interment followed the service at Raleigh Memorial Park.
