Obituary read: "Edward Albea, age 87, a resident of Covington since 1904, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, 111. He had been ill since last October

Mr. Albea was born in Warren County Feb. 23, 1880, the son of Tom and Phynette Murphy Albea. He was married in 1904 to Kearney Belle Brasker, who preceded him in death in 1961. He had been a barber for 551 years, retiring 12 years ago. He was a member of the Modern Woodman Lodge.

Surviving are: two sons, Virgil and Jack Albea, both of Covington; one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Thelma) Henderson, also of Covington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter and one infant son.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at the Hegg Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. P. J. Hamilton, pastor of the First Methodist Church here, officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery."
