Mr. Edward T. Albea Jr., 88, of Valley died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.

Graveside services are scheduled Friday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Stanley Duke officiating.

Mr. Albea is survived by his daughter, Tawana Martin of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Eleanor Aubrey; five grandchildren, Stuart Albea, Scott Albea, Shawn Albea, Charity Martin and Cheryl Dengler; and two great-grandchildren, Courtney Valtman and Alexandra Albea.

Born Sept. 8, 1916 in Tignall, Ga., Mr. Albea was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thomas Albea Sr. He was a retired employee of WestPoint Pepperell's Fairfax Mill, where he worked as a carpenter. Mr. Albea was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Jerome Albea.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 7 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
