Anna F. (Dailey) Alarcon, of Santiago, Chile, formerly of Milton, died on June 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Ann was raised in Milton. She graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, class of 1962 and Mount St. Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1966. Ann was a middle school science teacher in Randolph and Brockton for several years. After her marriage, she moved to Chile, where she made her home for the past 35 years. She was a very active member of the American Woman's Association for over 30 years. Ann touched the lives of many with her numerous volunteer efforts, especially with Mother Theresa's Sisters, the Missionaries of Charity. Ann is survived by her husband, Horacio Alarcon, and her children: Pamela, Andres and his wife Paz, Daniel and Giselle and her 3 grandchildren. She was the sister of Louise Costello and her husband Thomas of Whitman, William, Dailey and his wife Patricia of Abington, John Dailey and his wife Mary Etta of Tewksbury and Jean Grabau and her husband Hans of Milton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral and burial were held in Santiago. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Saint Agatha Church, Adams St., Milton on Saturday, July 30 at 10:30 a.m. Donations in Ann's memory may be made to The Missionaries of Charity, 335 E. 145 th St., Bronx, NY 10451 or to the charity of one's choice.
