Mrs. Myrtice Akins
STATESBORO -- Mrs. Myrtice Harvey Akins, 65, died Saturday morning at the Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was a native of Bulloch County, but had lived in Savannah most of her life. She was employed by the Candler General Hospital while in Savannah. She had been living in Statesboro for the past three years and formerly was employed by the Browns Nursing Home. She was a member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Billy Harvey of Warner Robins and Bobby Harvey of Port Wentworth; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Harvey, Mrs. Powell Nesmith and Mrs. James Call, all of Statesboro; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, with burial in the Eastside Cemetery.
