Pearl Josephine Sherrick was born to Jacob D. Sherrick b.25 Feb 1833 in Ohio & died 8 Apr 1907 in Barry Co., MO and Mary Josephine Knox b.20 Jul 1862 in AL & d.23 Oct 1945 in Ozark Twp, Barry Co., MO and who were married on 1 Oct 1882 in AR.

Federal Census & her Death Certificate indicates that Pearl's name was Pearl Josephine Sherrick, however, she used Josephine Pearl Sherrick on her marriage record. She went by Pearl.

She was the 4th spouse of Hiram Preston Akin whom she married on 23 Oct 1942 in Lawrence County, MO.

Pearl died in Houston, Harris, TX & according to her Death Certificate she was cremated at Oak Hills Cemetery & Crematory in Houston on 9 Jul 1979. I do not know if the remains were actually returned to Missouri. The Doctor who signed the Death Certificate was her nephew, Howard L. Evans, M.D.

To my knowledge Press & Pearl had no children.
