Edward Airheart Services for Edward "Pete" Airheart, 79, Brownsboro, were held May 1, 2003, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel, Athens, with Pastors Steve Smith and Eddie Airheart officiating. Burial was in Trinidad Cemetery. Airheart was born May 17, 1923, in Trinidad to the late Clarence Collins and Irene Wilson Airheart, and died April 29, 2003, in a Tyler hospital. He was preceded in death by brothers, C.W. Airheart and Buster Airheart. He was a farmer and rancher, and member of Chandler Christian Fellowship. Survivors include his wife, Mary Airheart, Brownsboro; daughters, Marsha, Debbie, and Terri, sons, Ted Airheart, Trinidad; Eddie, North Little Rock, Ark.; and Stephen, Dallas; sisters, Alice Gaston, Bryan; Francis Newsome and Hildred Cartlidge, both of Trinidad; and Margaret Crawford, Cedar Creek Lake; brothers, Pat Airheart and J.C. Airheart, both of Trinidad; and A.P. "Bill" Airheart, Beeville; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jerry Johnston, J.M. Kirby, Chris Bennett, Jimmy Bennett, David Dean and Matt Hermann. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Charles Colman, Michael Colman, Danny Colman and Hunter Airheart. Memorials may be made to Chandler Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 354, Chandler, TX 75758.
