At his residence near the state line in Momence, on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1877, C.C. Ainsworth, aged 36 years and 9 months. Mr. Ainsworth was born in Woodbury, Vt., and he lived in that place until 1859, when he moved to Momence. Mr. A., though owning and running a farm, was not a very robust constitution, and so he devoted a good portion of his time to teaching, and he was teaching school when he took his last sickness. He was widely known and much respected, was a good neighbor, and kind husband and father. He leaves a wife and five children.
