Body Brought to His Old Home for Burial on Monday, May 2

The body of Porter Lester Ainsworth, who was born in West Union July 6, 1868, arrived from Fort Dodge Monday and was committed to its last resting place in the Ainsworth lot in the local cemetery in the afternoon.".
"Lester was reared in West Union and began the study of law in his father's office, but decided on the printer's trade as his vocation. He was married to Miss Amy Dersham on September 13, 1890, and they began their married life in Sumner where he published the Sumner Journal. In 1894 they moved to Elgin, where he published The Echo and in 1903 he was associate publisher of The Fayette County Union, and later was employed in newspaper offices in Waterloo, Decorah and Mason City, but from 1921 until his death, had made his home in Fort Dodge
