Florence E. Aiken, 99, of Conner School Rd., Wampum (Shenango Twp.) died on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Haven Nursing Home.

Born May 2, 1913 in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late George and Bella Weir Clark. She was married to Oren Aiken who died May 3, 1972.

Florence was an Avon Representative for 50 years. She was awarded membership into the Avon President's Club. Mrs. Aiken was a lifelong member of the Chewton Christian Church where she was a deaconess and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

Survivors include two daughters in laws, Joanne Aiken of Wampum, Kay Fida of FL; three sisters, Edith Murphy of New Castle, Vera Minto of New Castle, Shirley Patterson of Arizona; two brothers, Russell Clark of Virginia, Tom Clark of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and David Aiken; six sisters; and a brother.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 341 Main Street Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with retired pastor, Dick Allen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Slippery Rock Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Chewton Christian Church.
