AMOS AHNER,79, of Indian Hill Rd., Lehighton, Pa. died at 5:15 pm, Thursday, Feb 19, 1953 in Weatherly.
Ahner's great-grand daughter, Sandra Marie Ahner, died four hours earlier in the Gnaden Huettn Hospital, Lehighton.
He was born Nov 1, 1874, son of the late Calvin and Sarah Strohl Ahner, Lehighton R. 3. He retired as a carpenter in 1916.
His first wife, Harriet Sarah Hollenbach died in 1918.
His second wife, Elizabeth Wagle Ahner died in 1944.
a son, Russel Ahner died March 12, 1952.
Surviving are two sons, Herman H. and John E., Lehighton R. 3; two step-daughters, Mary Alkire Ahner of Lehighton and Nellie Colbert of chicago; 2 half brothers, Samuel of Lehighton and Calvin of Star Route, Mauch Chunk. Also surviving are 16 grandchilden and 17 great grand children.
