Betty was a graduate of Shortridge High School. She was a secretary for AMF bowling equipment for many years. She volunteered for Winona Hospital. Betty was married for 66 years to Alfred Ahner, who preceded her in death. Alfred was the Adjunct General for the Indiana National Guard and with that, Betty assumed many responsibilities.
Betty is survived by sons, Michael and Mark Ahner; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also in the mortuary.
