Gilberto Rendon Aguilar, 57, of Victoria, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010. He was born Feb. 7, 1953, in Victoria, to the late Juan Aguilar and Julia Rendon Aguilar. He was a retired equipment operator with King Fisher, and he was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Cumpian Aguilar of Victoria; daughters, Corina Garcia of Point Comfort, Marlene Guzman of Victoria, Cynthia Aguilar of New Braunfels, Christina Maria Aguilar, Yolanda Aguilar and Cheryl Aguilar, all of Port Lavaca; sons, Joe Manuel Aguilar of Port Lavaca, Luciano Guzman and Zachary Martinez, both of Victoria; sisters, Irene Harborth of Port Lavaca, Mary Aguilar and Julie Aguilar, both of Lake Jackson; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Rudy Aguilar Sr., Robert Aguilar Sr., and Raul Aguilar Sr.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Artero Memorial Chapels in Port Lavaca. Visitation will continue from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Artero Memorial Chapels.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Port Lavaca. Interment will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Anthony Aguilar, Robert Aguilar Jr., Joe Ruben Aguilar, Fernando Aguilar, Sergio Pena Jr., Jesse Lamas Jr., Joe Louis Aguilar, Jeremy Gonzalez, and John David Resendez Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Joe Manuel Aguilar, Luciano Guzman, Zachary Martinez, Rick Aguilar, Rudolfo Aguilar, and Johnny Aguilar.
