Antonio Aguiar passed away in Gustine, CA after a short respiratory illness and other complications at 87.
Antonio is predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents Francisco & Mary Aguiar & siblings; Georgianna Aguiar, Elsie Nava (Ernest ), and Mary Teixeirra (Louis). He is survived by his brother Angelo Aguiar (Patti), and his loving children Anthony (Tina), Andy (Barbara), MaryAnn Pimentel (John), and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Tony was born in Fall River, Mass. and was raised in San Miguel in the Azores until the family moved back to the US just prior to WWII.
He was a man of faith and had a great passion for the Knights of Columbus. A past President, 4th Degree Knight, Color Guard and very active member, he fundraised for Portuguese "Festas" throughout No. California as well as walked in many of the parades.
Visitation will be Thurs. May 1st 8:30-9:30am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel 1840 Center Ave. Los Banos, CA 93635, followed by a Rosary & Funeral Mass at 10am St. Joseph's Catholic Church 1621 Center Ave. Los Banos, CA 93635 Then a celebration of his life will take place at M&M's Restaurant on 400 E. Pacheco Blvd. in Los Banos. A private burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA Fri. May 2nd.
