Major League Baseball Player. He was a catcher, making his debut for the St. Louis Browns on April 10, 1913. For seven seasons, he played with the St. Louis Browns (1913-15), Boston Red Sox (1916-18), and Washington Senators in 1919. He also was a member of the Boston Red Sox 1918 American League Championship and 1918 World Series Championship team which included Babe Ruth. He concluded his career with a record of 314 hits, 105 runs scored, 2 home runs, 98 runs batted in, .204 batting average and a .955 fielding percentage. He was later a minor league manager for the San Diego Aces (1929), Augusta Wolves (1930 and 1938) and Palatka Azaleas (1937). He died at age 64 in Sonoma, California. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
