Martha M. Fitch was born Jan 1830.

In 1850-1851, Martha M. Fitch married Abram Agnew, a member of a very old family. Abram Agnew, son of Michael and Elizabeth Kiser Agnew, born 18 Dec 1830.

Abram and Martha had ten children. Abram Agnew died on 8 May 1903. Martha A. Fitch Agnew died 14 Jan 1906. Abram and Martha are buried together in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweet Valley, Luzerne County, PA.

Born 16 Feb 1853 at Lake Winola, Lackawanna County, PA. She was a school teacher and died 5 Nov 1924. MARY E. AGNEW married WILBUR SEARCH, a carpenter, contractor and general merchant in Shickshinny for many years. Wilbur Search was born 5 Dec 1845 in Union Twp., Luzerne County, PA and died in Shickshinny in 1946. Wilbur and Mary E. Agnew Search are buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Shickshinny, Luzerne County, PA. They had two children FLORA M. SEARCH and STANLEY WOODWARD SEARCH. Their daughter Flora M. Search was born 9 May 1883 and died in 1942. Flora M. was educated in the local schools, including high school, and the Musical Department, University of Wooster, at Wooster, Ohio. Flora M. Search married WALTER S. BROADT on Tuesday, 20 Jan 1903. Rev. W. C. Mickey performed the ceremony in the parlor of the bride's residence. The bride was attired in a gown of white cream. The guests assembled to the music of "Traumerie," played by Miss Flossie Girton. The bride was attended by Lena Kester and Stanley Search, brother of the bride, presented the ring. During the ceremony Miss Girton played Mendelssohn's wedding march. The bride and groom were the recipients of many presents, mostly silverware. The guests present were: Shickshinny: Harry Campbell, wife and daughter; Mr. Kester, wife and children; Mr. Agnew and wife; Miss Flossie Girton; Miss Frank Search; Mrs. Florence Campbell and daughter; Stanley Search; Samuel Davenport; Mrs. Charles Boone. Mr. and Mrs. Broadt and MIss Florence Broadt from Nescopeck. Mr. Boyd from Wilkes Barre. Miss Gregory from Prichard. Walter S. Broadt was born 1877 and died in 1954. Wilbur S. and Flora M. Search Broadt are buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Shickshinny, Luzerne County, PA. Walter S. and Flora M. Search Broadt were the parents of one child, MARY AMANDA BROADT, who was graduated from the local high school in 1920; from Wyoming Seminary, first, in 1921, in Literary Scientific Department and, in 1922, in violin; and from Syracuse University, in 1926, with the degree of Bachelor of Science. She was in charge in the music in the schools of Fonda, New York. Stanley Woodward Search was born 28 Feb 1876 in Shickshinny, Luzerne County, PA. He married Gertrude W. in 1905. Stanley W. and Gertrude W. Search had a daughter, Mabel M. Search around 1907. Stanley Search died in 1928 in Shickshinny, Luzerne County, PA.

He was in an auto accident Thursday, 21 May 1914, hitting a telephone pole at the upper crossing of Beach Haven when the steering gear broke on the car he was driving.
Lyman remarried 25 May 1914 to 17 year old Ellen E. Dennis of Shickshinny at the Hotel Casey, Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA. Their children were Alfred born 1915-1916, Martha born 1916-1917, Norma born 1918-1919, Norma born 1919-1920, Helen born 1922-1923, Lena born 1924-1925, Earnest born 1927-1928, Stanley born Sept. 1929. They lived in Briar Creek, Columbia County, PA.

Elder Brown baptized Mary Ann and Sarah Fitch, MARTHA AGNEW, Solomon, Caroline and Mary Hunter, Charles M. and Mary Daily, John Post, Elizabeth Holmes, Andrew, Phebe, Lydia and John McMillen and John Leonard.
