FAIRMONT - Celebration of Life service for Allison J. Agers, 50, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date in Missouri.

Allison passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont.
Allison Jane Agers was born Aug. 18, 1961, in Kankabee, Ill., the daughter of Donnell and Donna (Smith) Agers. Allison was welcomed home by an older brother Donnell II (Donnie) and was later blessed with two younger sisters, Mary (Mimi) and Julie Ann. Tragically at the age of 5, Allison's mother was killed in an auto accident.

At a young age, Allison and her family moved to Minneapolis, Minn., where she attended several different schools. After a number of years in Minneapolis, Allison moved to Fairmont, where she was involved with REM and STEP Inc. Some of her favorite activities were baking cookies and pies, going swimming, getting her hair cut and working on activities with Lego's, stickers, coloring and stamping. Allison also enjoyed going out for her favorite meal, which included a hamburger, french fries and a pop. Allison was full of life and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed teasing others, playing outdoors in her sandbox, and sleeping in. Allison was well versed in sign language and treasured her babies and magazines. Her zest for life made her memorable to those that she had just met and she will be greatly missed by those that loved her and called her friend.

Allison was preceded in death by her parents, Donnell and Donna Agers.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Mary (Mimi) of Beirut, Lebanon; brother, Donnell II (Donnie) of San Rafael, Calif.; her aunts, Elaine and Marion; her uncle, Roger of Missouri; caretakers at REM and STEP Inc.; as well as her many friends.
