James R. Agee

James R. "Jim Bob" Agee, 71, of Nitro, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Jim was a lifelong resident of Nitro and a member of the Poca United Methodist Church.

He was a former Instrument Technician for Xerox Co., and Union Carbide. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are wife, Gail Agee at home; mother, Virginia Harrison of Summersville; daughters, Jamie Spaulding and her husband, Scott, of Nitro, Lee Ann Chandler and her husband, Bill, of Elkview; stepdaughter, Sheila Graley and her husband, James, of Nitro; grandchildren, Erice, Rachel, Matthew, Lindsey, Joanna Hudson and Samantha Harper; brother, Charlie Agee and his wife, Eileen, of Nitro; sisters, Patsy Brown and her husband, Darrell "Topper" Brown, of Nitro, Jenny Lee Lawson of Summersville; and aunt, Edith Turnbull of Poca.

Service will be Friday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, 2002-20th St., Nitro, with the Rev. Ken Peters officiating. Entombment will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may call Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home, Nitro.
