Ilma Elberta Hammond Agans, daughter of Arthur & Leah Rickey Hammond, was born Feb. 9, 1921 in Silvercreek, New York and died October 3, 2001 at her daughter's home in Murray, Iowa. She was 80 years old. She married Roscoe Agans on June 3, 1945 in Murray. Two children were born to this union, Marilyn & Richard. She was an assembly worker at Murray Products for 16 years before retirement in 1988. She had been a member of the Eastern Star in Murray and also participated in the Drum & Bugle Corp. as a young woman in New York. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church in Murray, Iowa.
Mrs. Agans is survived by her daughter, Marilyn, and her husband, Tyler. Her son, Richard, and his wife, Sue.
10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Oct. 6 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa. Burial was in the Murray Cemetery.
