SYBIL AGAN, daughter of James and Clora Darrow Rogers, was born October 2, 1914, in Stoutland, Missouri, and entered her Heavenly home on February 12, 2015, at the age of one hundred years.

Sybil made a profession of faith in Christ at the young age of ten and was a charter member of Greenhills Freewill Baptist Church. Sybil’s faith was unwavering and her church family and their prayers through the years were precious to her. She was a devout Christian servant and lived her life accordingly. Sybil was a Bible scholar and studied her Bible intently through the years, making notes, as she read to further understand God’s word.

On September 2, 1933, Sybil was united in marriage with the love of her life, James Glen Agan. To this union was born four children, all surviving. Glen preceded Sybil in death on November 3, 1987.

Sybil was the epitome of homemaker. She took great pride in providing a loving and welcoming environment for her family and their friends. Sybil would also help with inside work, and clean up after Glen in new homes he had built, to prepare them for future home owners.

However, the time spent and memories made with her family were the most important to her. She loved them dearly.

She leaves to celebrate her memory, two sons, James B. Agan and his wife Connie of Columbia, MO, and Roger Agan and his wife Marcia of Lebanon, MO; two daughters, Mary Bowlin and her husband Earl of Springfield, MO, and Glenda Potter and her husband Robert, also of Lebanon, MO; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Sybil was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Homer, Herbert, Adam, Grover and Don Rogers; two sisters, Lucille Agan and Martha Lee Dyer; an infant grandson, Wesley Glen; and a granddaughter, Holly Bowlin

Help Me Lord

Help me grow a little stronger Lord,
For strength does grow each day;
I know my faith grows in every way.
So hold me up a little longer, Lord,
Help me please to heed
The suffering, pain of others
That have far greater needs.

Help me a little longer, Lord,
To serve you better each day
And remember others when I pray.
Help me remember better, Lord,
That my blessings come from You
And give Thanks where it is due.
Thank you Lord, for all your help
And for holding me up a little longer.
