Edgardo Reyes Africa was born on March 10, 1950 in Lipa City, Batangas. He is survived by his wife, C. Betita Africa. To those who know him best, Edgar was always a funny man who didn't let the pressuring demands of work affect his light-hearted attitude. Edgar was purposefully ambitious, scholarly and hard working.

At the age of 16, he began paving his career path. Although he earned a full scholarship, Edgar was a working student throughout his college career. He continued his education at the Asian Institute of Management where he earned a Masters of Business Administration. While attending graduate school, he became a Certified Public Accountant and taught accounting concurrently at the collegiate level.

He most recently managed several self-owned businesses and was admired for his entrepreneurialism and passion for business. He leaves behind a devoted and hard-working ethic for everyone around him to follow.

Colossians 3:23-24
23 Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ.
