Jerry Lynn Affholter of Merced was called to be with the Lord on March 12, 2016. He was born in Fresno, California, the second of five children by Wallace and Nelda Affholter.
He is survived by his son Michael Affholter (Anna) and two grandchildren, his brother Gary, his stepchildren Bill (Sandi), Matthew (Aurora), and Mary (Paul Rea) Miller of Merced along with five step grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Cambria and enjoyed a lengthy career at Dole. His hobbies included restoring classic cars, singing, and building/flying R/C Airplanes. He enjoyed helping people any way he could and loved his family very much.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Merced Cemetery District 1300 B St, Merced, CA.
