He was born on Feb. 28, 1923 in Bloomington to Charles and Meta Rohde Aeschliman. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, David and one sister, Agnes Durre. He married Leona deFreese on Aug. 17, 1927 in Benson. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, John (Jean) Aeschliman, Benson; one daughter, Arlene (Rodney) Johnson, Roanoke; two brothers, Everett (Pearl) Aeschliman, Minonk and Ernest Aeschliman, Roanoke; two sisters, Shirley (Dean) Barth, Minonk and Betty Lou Smith, Flanagan; one brother-in-law, Richard Durre, Flanagan; two grandchildren, Debbie (Jeff) Lane, Grand Ridge and Jeff (Jennifer) Johnson, Eureka and five great-grandchildren, Kristen, Kora and Chase Lane and Emma and Kaitlyn Johnson.
An Army Air Corps veteran, he served his country during World War II.
