Gary Warner Adsitt, 66, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2014 at his home in Eagle Point, Ore. Gary was born December 2, 1947 in Lewiston, Idaho to Warner "Ajax" and Erma (Stanley) Adsitt.
Gary was a long-time resident of the Rogue Valley, living in Medford, Ore. from 1974 to 1989, in Central Point, Ore. from 1989 to 1995, and in Eagle Point thereafter. On April 10, 1982, he married Lynda (Knips).
Gary served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a truck driver. His hobbies included photography, hunting, and gun collecting. Gary was an active member of the V.F.W., Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, North American Hunting Club, Eagles Club of Medford and the N.R.A.
Gary is survived by his wife, Lynda; sons, Todd Steffensmeier (Erin) of Alcoa, Tenn., Eric Hemingway (Kami) of Eagle Point; daughter, Michelle Morton (Brad) of Central Point; sisters, Teri Hill (David) of Spokane Valley, Wash. and Sandi Butay (Victor Jr.) of Medford; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha Gallucci.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. September 18, 2014 at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. A memorial will follow at the Club House, 2385 Table Rock Rd. Memorial donations may be made to the Rogue Valley Dialysis Patient Trust Fund.
