Lucille F. (Adrian) Kmitta, 84, of Peru, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at Manor Court in Peru.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2014 at St. Valentine's Church, Peru with Rev. Paul Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru with recital of the rosary at 2:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until start of mass Monday at the church.
Mrs. Kmitta was born on February 17, 1929 in LaSalle to Joseph and Veronica (Hybki) Adrian. She married Paul J. Kmitta on October 8, 1949 at St. Joseph's Church, LaSalle. Lucille was a homemaker and a member of St. Valentine's Church, Peru.
She is survived by her husband, Paul of Peru; four daughters, Karen Grotti, of Arlington, Kathy (William) Immel of Peru, Karleen (Alan) Pinter of Spring Valley, and Kendra (Jeff) Stiel of LaSalle; and one son, Kevin (Jayne) Kmitta of Belleville; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Erjavsek of Cedar Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Kyle Burkiewicz; two sisters, Virginia Liesse and Rita Zywica.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brett and Brian Burkiewicz, Joe and Jason Jones, Tyler and Jeremy Pinter, Kris Kmitta, Jacob and Brandon Stiel.
