He was preceded in death by his parents; a half-sister, Katy A. Admire; a brother, John A. Admire who died in infancy; and William Alfred Admire (Twin brother of Chas. T. Admire) who died in 1889. His first marriage was to Ella Utt on June 23, 1909/10. They were divorced in Feb. of 1914. A son was born on March 14, 1910, but he is not mentioned in the obituary. This son, Glen Ogden Admire, died Sept. 16, 1948 at 38 years of age. Nothing more is known about him.
Obituary from the Kewanee Star-Courier: CHAS. ADMIRE, SONG WRITER, DIES, AGE 59 Charles T. Admire, 59, veteran of World War I, well known Kewaneean and song writer, died early Friday at Vaughn General Hospital, Chicago, where he had been a patient several weeks. He had been seriously ill since last May.
Mr. Admire, whose home here was at 1223 Page Street, was born in Roodhouse April 23, 1837, had lived in this state all his life and in Kewanee for five years. His occupation was that of a song writer. He had written a number of songs which were published.
He was united in marriage with Edna Boham Nov. 2, 1921, in Chicago. He is survived by his wife, a brother, Lawrence, of Chicago; several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Admire was a member of the First Baptist church of Roodhouse and Kewanee, post 31, American Legion.
The body was brought to Kewanee. Funeral rites will be held at Cavanagh and Schueneman funeral home at 2 p.m. next Monday with burial in Pleasant View cemetery.
