Funeral for Clara A. Calvin, 93, of Limestone Nursing Home, will be today at 3 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Calvin was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Athens. She was a former school teacher and the first female principal in the Limestone County School System.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances White of Birmingham and Dorothy Calvin Fusch of Athens; four sons, Theo Calvin Jr. and Joe P. Calvin, both of Athens, Thomas Calvin of Decatur and Dr. Edward P. Calvin of Beech Mountain, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
