Alice Faye Kunde Adkins

Laurel—Alice Faye Kunde Adkins, 66, of Laurel, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2012 at the Delmar Nursing Home.

She was born September 24, 1946 in Delmar, a daughter of the late Howard and Faith Kunde.

Alice was a receptionist at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford for ten years. She loved to play cards with family and friends. Many who knew her called her "Mom Mom," she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed holiday dinners with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul F. Adkins; her children, Jeffrey Adkins (Donna) of Laurel, Sara Adkins of Laurel, and Eloise Massey (Raymond) of Seaford; grandchildren, Phillip, Jeffrey P., John, Russell, and Faith Adkins; step-grandchildren, Danielle Massey-Lewis, Dougie Short, and Daniel Odham; great-grandchildren, Liam Paul Adkins; step great-grandchildren, Jeremy Lewis, Morgan Massey and Daemean Westley; brothers, Howard Kunde, David Kunde (Joyce) and Daniel Kunde; sisters, Linda Perry and Rose Conaway.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Paul Kulley.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 to 12:00. Pastor Dan Southern will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. A reception for family and friends will be held at the Delmar V.F.W. immediately following the interment.
