Rose K. Adelson, of Kingston, died Monday morning at Mercy Hospital Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Austria-Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Clara (Rubenstein) Kanner, and was educated in the Wilkes-Barre School District.

Mrs. Adelson was a member of the former B'nai Jacob Synagogue, Ohav Zedek, its Sisterhood, Leisure Lounge, Queen Esther, and the Jewish Community Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1990; brother, Benjamin; sisters, Helen Rubin, Hannah Kanner and Ruth Goldner.

Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Elaine, Laflin; Sy, Kingston; granddaughters, Susan Rudofker, Robyn Adelson; great granddaughter, Haley Rudofker, all of Laflin; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre. Rabbi Meir Rosenberg will officiate.

Interment will follow in B'nai Jacob Cemetery, Darling Street, Wilkes-Barre.

Shiva will be observed at the family home, 69 First Ave., Kingston, Tuesday 7-9, and Wednesday 2-4.
