Miss Grace P. Addison, 522 W. Adams St., one of Muncie's leading career women for the last 38 yars, died Tuesday morning at Ball Memorial Hospital after an illness of eight weeks.

Miss Addison, a graduate of Ball State College, came to Muncie with her parents in 1902 and retired from Chevrolet-Muncie seven years ago after 38 years as secretary to 11 different managers at plant.

A native of Knightstown, Miss Addison accepted her first office job with the old Fair Store and in 1913 became associated with the T.W. Warner Co. as a stenographer. She continued as a secretary in the Muncie Products Division of General Motors with the Warner plant was sold to General Motors in 1919.

The Muncie plant was closed down in 1932 but Miss Addison returned to her secretarial work when it re-opened in 1935 as Chevrolet-Muncie. She remained there as secretary to the manager until her retirement.

Miss Addison made her home with her only survivor, a sister, Mrs. Muriel M. Hayman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hazelwood Christian Church with the Rev. Robert G. Sulanke officating. and the Parson Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in the Knightstown Cemetery. Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary after 2 p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to services.
