Leo V. Addabbo of Owatonna passed away February 28, 2009 at his home with his family by his side.

Leo Vito Addabbo was born November 29, 1931 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Leo and Alvina (Larson) Addabbo. Leo attended high school in Galena, ILL. and graduated from high school there in 1949. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1949. He served for four years in a naval aviation squadron which was involved with atomic weapons while he was on tour in Africa. Leo was united in marriage to Marjorie Westemeier on January 19, 1954 at St. Mary's church in Galena, ILL. Leo worked in sales all of his life. He worked for Pillsbury Flour, Folgers coffee and later worked for Hills Bros. coffee for 27 years and retired in 1989. Leo's memberships include the Owatonna Eagles and Elk's, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, 40 et 8 through the American Legion. His life interests include traveling abroad, watching musicals, playing drums in various bands, playing cards and attending daily mass.

Leo is survived by his wife of 55 years Marge. Children; Debbie Vaughan of Green Bay, WI. Diane Pahlow of Mansfield, OH. Tom (Jill) Addabbo of Maple Grove, MN and Steve (Lenae) Addabbo of Owatonna, MN. Eight Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren. Additional survivors include his siblings Don (Irene) Addabbo of Phoenix, Arizona, Mariann Addabbo of Dubuque, IA. Kay (Tom) Deprez of Monroe, WI and Theresa Kaiser of Hawthorn Woods, Ill. Leo is preceded in death by two sons and one grandson who died of Muscular Dystrophy Mark in 1990 and Joseph in 1997, and Nicholas in 2004. 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Memorials are preferred to MDA and House of Payer in Padua, MN. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Homestead Hospice for all their special care and assistance.
