VALLEY - Mrs. Florence Lemerle Ledbetter , 89, of Valley died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, Ga.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 14 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Revs. Mike Hawkins and Jerry Ledbetter officiating. Burial followed at Fairfax Cemetery.

Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by three sons, Marshall (Charlotte) Ledbetter of Stockbridge, Kenneth (Linda) Ledbetter of Pensacola, Fla., and Gerald Ledbetter of Valley; one daughter, Linda (John) Carter of Valley; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Born Aug. 16, 1921 in Chambers County, Mrs. Ledbetter was the daughter of the late Hattie Jordan Adcox and Jim Richard Anderson Adcox. She lived in the Valley area most of her life and had retired from WestPoint Pepperell's Fairfax Finishing Department after 34 years of service with the company.

Mrs. Ledbetter was of the Methodist faith.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to a church of one's choice.

The family received friends Sunday, March 13 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
