Birth: Mar. 24, 1901
Death: Jan. 16, 1902

Adamson- The death angel entered the home of J.E. and Nannie Adamson on Thursday morning January 16, 1902 and claimed as its victim, their little son aged 9 months and 22 days. Not what God gives but what he takes, uplifts us to the holiest height. The funeral services were conducted at their home by Rev. Rockwell on Friday. The remains were taken to the Smith Burial ground and laid to rest by the side of his little brother. (A poem written by Cousin Verta is with his obituary, however, due to lack of space I've chosen not to include it)
Poem found by Bill Vandruff at __________ on 5/14/2008
A little bud to us was given,
It seemed he came from heaven,
We all did love him so well,
Our love, words cannot tell,

We thought he had come to stay
And be with us many a day
Till we saw our darling,
The angel of death was hovering.

We bid him stay his icy hand,
And not disturb our band,
We gathered round his little form,
And thought to protect him from harm,

Learned physicians tried their skill,
But no not ours but God's will,
Earth's fair flowers all must fade
And in the silent dust be laid,

We saw him robed in garments bright,
And laid in his casket white,
Then we knew our bud had flown,
But in heaven he would bloom,

Our bud has left this world so wild,
To be with his savior meek and mild,
He has joined an Angel Band,
In that fair and celestial land.

Cousin Verta.
