They moved to North Las Vegas in 1959 and were residents of Southern Nevada for 45 years. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before he preceded her in death in August, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Noah & Lila Mae Giles; two brothers, Elvin Giles and Clarence Giles; and four sisters, Ramona Hall , Myrtle Michaels, Donna Lemon Coleman, and Geniel Winterton. She is lovingly survived by her six children; Steven J. Adamson of Panaca, Sharlene Trinko, Jill Tillmon, Evonne Young, Sterling G. Adamson, and Stuart E. Adamson, all of Las Vegas; sixteen grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was also a favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called to many church duties including Relief Society President and Secretary. She was also a volunteer worker at the Las Vegas Temple for many years. Of the many things she enjoyed, reading, baking, quilting, and being with family were her favorite pastimes.
A viewing will be held 4-7 p.m. Jan. 26, 2004 at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Jan. 27, 2004 at the LDS Chapel located at Civic Center and Tonopah. There will also be a viewing before services from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
